An Expanded Exercise
The main part of my life over the last year and a half has been about reconnecting with my authentic sexual self after a decade and a half of sublimating my more natural desires and inclinations, often in order to expand experiences (good) and sometimes in order to make partners and others comfortable (not good), including 6 years of semi-voluntary celibacy. A precursor to this was finally recognizing my true gender identity (agender), which has led to me exploring femininity in ways I was never interested in or comfortable with before. A lot of this work+play has been a public exercise that I've shared on my social media accounts, posting thirst traps, nudes, sex stories, dating stories, and my general thoughts on sex, kink, power, queerness, BDSM, gender, and so much more that exists at the intersection of these topics. I'm also a single femme AFAB person in my '40s and that both informs and influences so many of my current experiences and the ways that I'm both perceived and understood.
One surprising result of this is that I'm constantly hearing from women and femmes my age - whether they're people I know irl or online mutuals - that my posts have been informative and empowering for them as well, and it honestly has been a large part of why I continue to do this so publicly. I won't share examples but it's become clear to me that people are getting more from this than I ever imagined they would. I've gotten so much out of it, and I continue to, but getting feedback from people that isn't just fire or heart-eyes emojis has been incredibly meaningful.
And that brings us here. A lot of this has played out in Instagram stories, most of which disappear after 24 hours unless I choose to highlight them, or on alt semi-anonymous accounts where I post more salacious stuff. So I decided that since people are learning or exploring or experiencing life in new ways, or even just laughing amusedly, thanks to these posts, I'd like a way for them to stick around so that it doesn't depend on happening across them in the 24 hours they exist or knowing and following all of my alts. I also often lament the loss of blogging, in particular the sex/dating blogs that were popular in the aughts, so I figured I'd be the change I want to see.
Right now my plan is to do weekly wrap ups of the things I post related to everything mentioned above, potentially with some expanded commentary or thoughts. I'm not trying to make money off of this, much less a living, but I figured there's no harm in letting people pay for things if they want to. All of the posts here will always be free to read, but I do plan to keep them paywalled in the sense that you need to be a (free) member to see them, just so that there's an extra layer between who I am and what I post and the wider internet, search engines, etc.
